What is a threaded insert?
Thread inserts are cylindrical metal sleeves designed to reinforce and repair threaded holes. Self-tapping thread inserts are fasteners featuring both internal and external threads, along with a cutting hole or groove. They are available in two materials: carbon steel and stainless steel. Carbon steel inserts are galvanized with finishes such as yellow, color, or blue zinc, while stainless steel inserts maintain their natural metal finish.
These inserts are placed into a pre-tapped hole, and the four latch pins are pressed in, providing a secure fastening. This product is commonly used in applications requiring high thread strength.
